Local dealers, drivers stay loyal to their Toyotas Automotive:

‘If I thought it was really unsafe, I would have had (my wife’s car) in here,’ dealer says

Inside his Tacoma office, Jim Johnson keeps framed pictures of each of his three young daughters.

Johnson’s wife drives the girls in a 2008 Camry that is on Toyota’s recall list. Her vehicle’s repair appointment is scheduled for next week, and she will continue to drive the car until then.

“If I thought it was really unsafe, I would have had her in here on Day One,” said Johnson, who, as general manager at Titus-Will Toyota, could have put his family’s car first in line.

If you drive a Toyota vehicle that is recalled, what would be the best way for Toyota to deal with things?
